Incredible twist of fate that out of SQ's entire 747 fleet, and I suppose that certainly in 2000 it was major (less 777's around than now), exactly this one, out of two specially and awesomely painted birds (also 9V-SPL), gets involved in a tragic and fatal accident. And afterward, fairly logically IMO, SQ removed this stunning tropical scheme from the sistership. What a way to go for one of the most beautiful color schemes ever designed and applied...

No need to say anything about SQ aircraft & their service. But this was one of theawsome paint work I saw as ex-SQ staff.
