BGA285 / G285/E (cn 247A) In 1940 radar detection trials were carried out using aircraft of wooden construction. The abilities of radar were further tested using a modified version of this all wooden glider, its steel control components were removed and the cables were replaced by wooden push rods. One source suggests that this Kite was involved. This glider was once allocated the national 'Class A' registration G-ALNH.
