G-BZND / N5199 (cn PFA 101-11815) Mary Goddard s 2006 Goddard BF Pup replica is seen here rehearsing it mock combat display as a member of the Great War Display Team on the Friday of RIAT. It represents N5199, which saw service with 3 & 8 Squadrons, RNAS in 1916 & 1917, being flown in combat by Sub-Lieutenant R E Grange. It is powered by a 145hp Warner Super Scarab 7-cylinder radial, a version of the engine from the Fairchild Argus. (400D; Sigma 80-400@116mm; fluid-head tripod; 800th sec exposure; no stabilization)
