The fence has indeed been clipped by aircraft, and there are sometimes tyre marks on the road itself, although if you slip a dollar the way of the guard who mans the road barriers, he'll let you lay underneath the flightpath on the road!

A visitor from Philippines posted Mon October 13, 2008: Absolutely great pic! Must try taking a Caticlan plane some time. Philippine km posts, btw, are not all taken as a distance from Luzon, but taken from the island's provincial capital. In Luzon it is the distance to/fro Rizal Monument. In Caticlan I surmise it's the distance to some other Panay Island landmark. Anyway great shot!

According to that Kilometer marker, Caticlan is not very far from MNL. If it were connected to Luzon, it wouldn't be a bad distance to drive, but then again, why drive when you can have one heck of a nail-biter landing getting there! Thanks for sharing!
