I was sitting in my backyard (25 degrees Celsius in mid January) waiting for something to cross the moon. Here is Southwest 868 flying at 40,000 feet through the moon. She is headed to SMF from SAN, and is currently around 7 miles from my shooting position. The local time is 17:20.

The plane goes very well with the moon, which is very well in focus and highly detailed.
