Kamov Ka-26 - Sri Lanka - Air Force
This photo is copyright protected and may not be used in any way without proper permission.
Two KA-26s were used by the SLAF from 1971 to 1979 by the #4 Helicopter Squadron in the passenger transport and medevac role. These two aircraft were part of a package that the USSR sent to Sri Lanka as aid to fight a 1971 communist insurgency (yes. not a mistake). Now preserved at the wonderful SLAF museum.
