Cool shot! interesting and conveys alot of emotion. this would be really interesting in black white. I like the mood and the feeling that this image connotes.

Not sad. I think its kind of creepy. The DC-9 sure is an awesome plane.

A visitor from Netherlands posted Wed July 8, 2009:
What makes it special is the engines which are not visible in the picture and the foggy background makes the airplane the only object

The MD-80 is a very sleek airliner, as this photo shows. Very interesting angle of view, but not sad.

A visitor from United States posted Sun March 2, 2008:
I don't think the word "sad" is the correct word for this photo. I think a better word/words would be mystical or eerie

What a beautiful nose. Great pic. Great airline

A visitor from United States posted Fri February 8, 2008:
Love it! The plane looks like it's coming at you and should be used in a commercial for this particular airline.

A visitor from United States posted Sun January 6, 2008:
Notice how this angle makes the wings seem so thin (which they are). Such a clean design.
The fog shroud adds to the eerie look... and no, it doesn't look sad !!

Wonderful photo in a wonderful place.
I live in La Coruna, and fog in this airpor is very frequent. I hope with the new ILS CAT III we can improve the operationg in days like this.

Wonderful .... beautiful .... THAT's what the new aesthetic in photography looks like!

A visitor from United States posted Sun December 30, 2007:
Looks a little like a wet dog. I love the subtle flare of the wings.

A visitor from United States posted Sun December 30, 2007:
It does look sad, the "eyebrow" gives the plane a sad face, while the engines are hidden to give this plane a "naked" feeling. Excellent composed shot!
