Reminds me of the early days of jet travel, A340's look like the modern day 707s and you can't get a more classy livery than SAA's.

If they would have added a couple of 747-400's on the flanks, it would really have been something else. Nevertheless an awesome pic.

Wonderful! A340-6xx is the most beautiful bird in the skies, but I've never seen a "flock" of them.

Amazing capture.

I really think that the bad weather allow the dark clouds to blend in with the planes, no?

Well shot, not many oppurtunities like this come in a lifetime.

Wow! What a difference from the integration of Swiss on Friday 7th April in Zurich!
I assisted at their ceremony. We remained inside an old hangar throughout the event... and the cocktail that followed was lousy!

Dal Bianco caught the exact moment when the three planes were perfectly positioned in relation to each other. In close formation with no overlapping from the viewpoint of the camera ... terrfic!

Five stars for the catch of the day.

To the visitor from the United States... Those two aircraft following the Star Alliance A346 are Airbus A342s (the little brother of the A346), not A330s. The A340, no matter what version you talk about, has four engines; the A330 has only two. You probably confused the CFM56-5s on the A343s with the RR Trents used on the A330.

Beautiful pic . These are all A340's as A330 only has 2 engines.
