You are interested in technical details? Here we have a routine tire change due to a worn out tread. The old tire is already demounted giving you the chance to see one of the brake packages and to allow a better view onto the axle the grommet has been removed for a second. Photo is approved for public release by both Thai Airways International and Lufthansa Technik!

VERY nice photo, thank you. What really amazes me is that orange jack. So small and holding 50 tons of the airplane.

Thanks for sharing! With the right tools, seems a lot easier than changing my flat car tire in the middle of nowhere!

Great pic. to answer few ???s: wheel change takes about 30-60mins depending on experience of those doing the job. add 05-15mins if brake unit is also being changed. designed to enable quick change (LRU - Line Replaceable Unit)

Great photo. I am curious about the wheel changing lever...

My fellow workers change 7 tires (tire & wheel assys) in 2 hours (2 man team) in a typical busy day... amazing.

You get five stars for that VERY well organized tool box alone. Everything is neat and clean from the tire change kit from the tool crib to the personal tool box, and even the axle jack. And even the landing gear itself is very clean. They normally get filthy with brake dust during normal use. These sparkle!

And how much does Thai pay for a tire change?
