For a medium sized airliner it looks to be very high up on the gear. Nice shape though. I hope it does well.....now fly that thing Flanker style!

I am not a really big fan of this manufacturer, the way you photographed this plane combined with the look of a more modern plane, I am starting to like it... Very attractive paint job too...

Beautiful picture, I like how part of the airplane reflects on the water. Sukhoi is great, one of the biggest manufacturers of military airplanes is now on the way to become one of the biggest manufacturers of civilian planes!

For all those who have worked on the DO 728 programme, it is clear what the russians have done with the blueprint of the contruction plans they received in 2002. The resemblance is striking!

It is absolutely fantastic! Notice the windows of the aircraft reflecting in the puddle of water. The big windows on the front are also the greatest I've seen on an aircraft of this size. I hope SAS will buy these instead, instead of running the heavily critisized Bombardier...

Great photo, that´s for sure! But did Sukhoi took some photos of Embraer or the last Dornier-Jet and then created their own one??? The similarity is amazing....

It is so nice to see people who appreciate aviation instead slamming Russia because they don't like Russia for reasones that they don't even know. It truly is nice to see beautiful aircraft and it was a job well done. Russian aircrafts have always attracted more attention then any other aircraft and all that says is that the Russians build unique aircrafts which true aviation lover appreciate like me and the rest of all you guys on this forum. Thank you for comments and thank you for the great picture, you sure have made my day!

The livery bears a passing resemblance to Air Tahiti Nui's colour scheme. Nice to finally see a competitor to Embraers E-jets. Wonder if they'll make a "westernised" version?

It's the 21st Century and this plane looks like something developed in the 1980's. There is no great vision that has gone into the aesthetic of this aircraft which is often a major selling point. Oh and the demo-plane just crashed in Indonesia. Being a Russian built airliner it has to be expected that it is likely to crash but the demo-plane!!!!

I hardly see how the fact that it is russian built has anything to do with the demo aircraft crashing.. at the moment they are saying human error, but lets just wait for an official report shall we.. i love it, it is a truely brilliant aircraft, AND you can see where it stemmed from (IIRC) sukhoi has the blueprints for the dornier jets (look familiar now), all of the systems and components are from "western" countries. Just a shame that the AMM, CMM and SRM still aren't avialable in english (last time i checked) :(
