Nice shot! and you can see clearly in this pic that it took its blueprint from the Do728 that was stopped short of first flight... at least its spirit lives on in the SSJ.

Remarkable photo and the plane! If for Sukhoi it is "first attempt at writing" in civil aircraft engineering - I will wait for their new projects with huge impatience.

To visitor from Germany: definetly if russian plane has a wing, a fuselage, a tail, an engine it was surely copied from western plane :)
