G-BRDV / K5054 (cn HD36/001 & PFA 130-10796) Making a brief stop at the Welcome Break South Mimms Services just off the M25 motorway, en-route from Duxford to her Southampton home. This all-wooden replica Spitfire, with her Jaguar V12 engine, used to grace the skies on the airshow circuit until she crashed at Keevil on 22-Sep-1997. Now a travelling static exhibit, returning today from the VE Day commemorations at Duxford, including some filming for The History Channel.
