A visitor from - posted Thu July 31, 2008:5 stars for capturing such a suffocating shot! I also agree with what Jayesh says about the 340s' climb rate. The only 340 I get to see in my city is from the Gulf Air and it always leaves me breathless by talking a long run till the end of the runway yet a very low pitch rotation.I think Airbus should upgrade 340s' engine.
A visitor from India posted Fri May 16, 2008:The A340's though are attractive but technically speaking have a very low rate of climb esp the 300 series-Anyways.....This picture just rejuvenates mu senses...- Jayesh
A visitor from Lebanon posted Thu November 29, 2007:Great shot indeed. 340s are very attractive birds. The background shows this bird in its natural habitat :)

A visitor from Australia posted Thu August 24, 2006:Is it just me or is it taking off a little bit to one side? Take a close looks at the wheels. But still great shot
A visitor from United States posted Tue August 1, 2006:You know, they would get in the air faster if they flapped their wings, which it looks like he's trying.
A visitor from United States posted Mon July 31, 2006:Look at the flex of the wing! Outstanding
A visitor from Switzerland posted Mon July 31, 2006:Love the 340s although they're bad climbers...
