THE BEST!!! | |
Now there's some flower power!
Thanks everyone :) Yep, its really taking off from runway 28. I've seen many flights to the USA leaving from runway 28, no problem for A332/A333's but the A343s are really low on the climb out.
Excellent picture! Quite unusual that a A340 takes-off from RWY 16
Who put that "Shell" logo on its nose?
I kept my eyes on this pic for a good while, lots of detail and action. By the way, is she really heading to the US, as this clearly is RWY28 (2500m) and not RWY16 (3900m) which it usually uses? Just wondering, I live just south of ZRH and love to see the A343 thundering low over the roof-tops, can't imagine her taking-off from 28 with all that weight...
Apart from being a great shot, it is super cool as I was on that plane (seat 34A)! It is LX52 taking off for its 8-hour / 3,745 mile trip across the Atlantic to Boston's Logan airport. The flight was very smooth and we touched down on Logan's runway 4R just before 8pm ET. Great stuff, Pierre, and thanks for sharing! Tony
Well captured ! | |
Beauty, lighting is wonderful, and angle couldn't be better.
It must have had a very light load as it is taking off from rwy 28 for the US. Normally the A340's seem to have problems to take off even from rwy 16:) Nice picture from a nice bird.
