Yet, fourty years ago, all planes boarded from the ground. Also, note the DC-3 in the back ground. No doubt this was the BIG bird of the time.

The old KLM "barber pole" paint scheme is so pretty on the Electra, almost like it was made for it. I also like the contrast in technology from the DC-3 lurking in the background.
