A visitor from - posted Thu September 20, 2007: Swissair flew the South America route Zurich - Geneva - Lisbon - Dakar - Rio de Janeiro - São Paulo - Buenos Aires - Santiago de Chile and back on those old days. The CV 990 Coronado was the fastest Jet on its time, but had short autonomy. Swissair later changed for the shortbodyed DC8, and strangely never used Boeings 707 on this route.This was a great airplane.
A visitor from Germany posted Mon April 10, 2006: Perfect light, blue sky, black smoke. It's the atmosphere of the late 60ies and 70ies. I can just hear the noise of the Coronado! This is perfect, Mr. Söderström, it's absolutely perfect!
