 A visitor from Switzerland posted Thu March 25, 2010:I am proud of the Swiss aircraft industry after 2nd world war. The success of the Learjet, based on the ail of the P-16, shows impressively the quality of this early jet design. Due to the loss of one prototype and one pre-series aircraft, Swiss politics withdrew their order of 100 aircraft, and this after 506 succesful flights of P-16 fighters - an incredibly wrong decision, as the decline of the Swiss aircraft industry after this decision shows.
