This is an effect that is invisible to us but the atmospheric conditions here were perfect (and so was the photographers timing!). See the large area of low pressure there, you can literally FEEL that wing diverting that air downward thus lifting this Hornet upward. The miracle of flight - we know the physics but its still a miracle :-) | |
