Do you still remember when "La Patrouille des Patrouilles" flew over Payerne one year ago? It was a wonderful moment! I believe that this photo is the only one with not just 40 aircraft on it. There is an airliner visible, just next to the leader of the patrouille. So on this image are 41 aircraft. Check it out!

This shot takes a great moment: 5 teams in formation flight, a superb show to see. I can't explain why, but the first glance at the pic gave me a little piece of the feelings those spectators felt that day. Simply superb! Watch it and image the roar coming out from those engines, the crowd clapping hands and screaming, the inner feeling of extreme power given by those birds flying together. My imagination gave me this present watching this shot. Superb!

I just wanted to precise a little what we see in this wonderful picture. From the left to the right we could see : The Red Arrows (Hawks, UK), The Patrulla Aguila (Casa C-101, Spain), The Swiss Patrouille (F-5E Tiger, Switzerland), The Team 60 (Saab 105, Sweden) and The Frecce Tricolori (Aermacchi MB 339A, Italy). Have a nice day :)

The Italian guy who posted the comment before said "imagine the roar coming out from those engines". But in fact when I was in Payerne I remarked that the noise wasn't so loud. The airplanes were quite high in the sky and flew slow. But it's nice to see all these countries flying together.

Very good shot. There goes my Patrulla Aguila and their CASA C-101 "Aviojet". The Spanish acrobatic patrol from our Air Force.
Good luck this year for:
Pedro Solbes, Félix Sánchez, Eduardo Ramírez, Miguel Bermúdez, Ismael Serrano, Miguel Puertas, Isidoro Sánchez, Miguel A Díez, Pep Alonso, Antonio Miralles, Víctor Sáez. They are the pilots of 2005 season.

Man, how'd it feel to fly in that formation?!

Awesome shot. The big stroke of luck is the fact that the airliner appears to be flying in the same direction as the lead formation. Cool!

Precision of flying mirrored by triangular framing of the photo, like titian's europa.

I like these planes because they are flying close together, and they are very colorful and pretty to see in the air for people to watch.

Apart from the visual interest I think what makes this photograph excellent is that the opportunity for such a shot rarely if ever occurs

It's a fabulous photo Jerome, but you have better eyes than I do! The tiny "speck" just below the right wing?
I can see it, but I can not resolve it as an A/C....

Ok...my eyes are going nuts here trying to spot an airliner out of all the packs of what looks to me to be fighter planes! Incredible shot though!

Nice Pictures Jerome. But I'm quite sure, that J-3066 never flew for the Patrouille Suisse. The registrations J-3080 to J-3091 are the special painted aircraft for our display team.

cheers
Martin
