Interesting galley on this Thai 744, looking straight into a completely empty first class. Flight TG980 Phuket-Bangkok. I had thought this flight originates in Phuket. It originates in Sydney, though, goes on to Melbourne, then Phuket and finally into BK! You can imagine the look on my face when I got on board and all of a sudden there are hundreds of people on the plane even though the gate area was all empty...!

Very odd location for a galley. Seems the passangers would get in the way

Interesting pic and position of the galley. but sure doesnt seem to be maximising its seating capabilities given that so many window seats are wasted here.

Nice pic. I believe KLM also has this galley config on their 744.

A great visual of a flight attendants work space, The side-ways facing galley was more common on the 747SP aircraft as there was less space for a full service galley and gave the caterers more room to move carts in and out as well as the flight attendants more storage area and of course room to work.

A lonely bag lost in a 747. Good luck by searching it... :-)

I've seen many galleys but this is by far the biggest - very interesting
