Wet, Wet, Wet! I got all my equipment and myself soaking wet for this shot, but hey, isn't she one of the most beautiful machines flying around nowadays?!! The rain was really coming down during her engine startup and the sky was all dark, but by the time takeoff clearance was given it had cleared a little. Be sure to check out the cool reflections and water effects on the fuselage! Absolutely love it!

You are correct when you say that the MD-11 is one of the most beautiful machines. This photo does it justice.

Excellent because it is not static, it exudes life and energy and power. the angle, the lighting, the shadows, the mist, make it a living and breathing entity summing up our ancestors dreams of travel through the ages. beauty, technical wizardry. excellent.

This shot captures the power and momentum of this beautiful aircraft, as it speeds along to lift-off. I should say it is worth a soak, watching this one soar.

Md-11 is one of my favorite planes, and when is in a picture that reflects is "Character" is something to comment!
The water and the rainy day contributed to the great reflections. It worth your effort and soaking wet.

I really like the spray from a wet runway. It's sad that Thai has changed their livery, I liked the old one better.

The inclement weather adds a sense of heightened drama whilst the water being thrown from the wet runway adds upto a great amount of power. Visually exciting and well done to the photographer for persevering. Thank you.
