L8-9/35 / 60109 (cn 382-5272) One of the most heartbreaking photo of my aviation photography hobby. This RTAF C-130H setting silently in the water that flooded Don Mueang during the 2011 Thailand flood. I board the boat and it was 2.5 meters of water under my boat. Once in a lifetime that you can ride the boat in the airport!

A visitor from Thailand posted Fri January 20, 2012: This aircraft is currently under restoration at RTAF. As far as the technocian told me they can compartmentalized her during the flood. Water did not leak inside the aircraft. All they need to do is dry her up and clean the landing gear.

If the water was 3-4 feet higher then I might be concerned, but will not a few minor repairs have this bird in the air again? There are C-130s flying today that were shot all to heck in combat but they were still repaired.
