LV-MTP (cn 061) This is one out of only 90 Aravas built by IAI between 1969 and 1988. Designed as a light STOL utility transport aircraft and powered by two Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A turboprops, the Arava has a short but wide barrel-like fuselage, the rear of which is hinged and can swing open for easy loading and unloading. Using common words, it could be said that this aircraft resembles a winged-egg... :-)
