A visitor from United States posted Sun January 8, 2012:It seems like such a shame to see such a grand aircraft in this condition.... but it is a great photograph to be able to evoke such feeling.
A visitor from United Kingdom posted Tue November 30, 2010:Hope it was quick and painless, RIP!
A visitor from United States posted Sun October 24, 2010:Yes, it is sad to see this photo, but when you think about it, almost every airplane, ship, train or building ever built is going to end up being taken apart, ripped up, blown up, or whatever, to make room for something else. At least all that aluminum is going to be melted down and turned into something else; who knows, with a little luck, it may even end up in another B 747 !
A visitor from Canada posted Wed January 27, 2010:Looks like something just beat it to death to get it apart!!What a loss.
A visitor from United States posted Sat April 4, 2009:Gerhard possesses an eye for aviation lore and history in true living color... rather tiresome and trite, but an eye nonetheless
A visitor from United States posted Sat January 24, 2009:Really sad sad photo.
A visitor from United Kingdom posted Sun December 21, 2008:Interesting shot. When I saw the small blue trailer to the right I thought a GPU was still plugged into the Aircraft!

A visitor from Netherlands posted Sat May 19, 2007:It looks like C-3PO in Star Wars Episode 2: "Attack of the clones" when he says: "I'm beside myself." Poor thing...no 747 should have to look like that!
