The fifth from left is an ATA Airlines vertical stabilizer, FYI. Formerly known as America Trans Air.

It's like a record of the airlines that have flown the 707. They should place all these tails in a museum like this!

Gee! there's a new hobby or is there a bounty on those like there was on the tongues of foxes!

A visitor from United States posted Wed October 31, 2012:
That is a really cool picture. Neat to see diverse tails.

A great artistic shot. Actually quite epic because the lines are blurred between aviation and art. Well done.

I want the Pan Am one.

What a great documentary of defunct airlines.
We were proud of PAN AM, TWA, the old EL AL, the old B-line and on it goes.
They provided excellent service to the public and if still alife and kicking are down to minimum service for maximum prices.
By the way, at those times the vertical tails wre still of aluminum and not plasticfibres.

What an awesome display of airline history, like flags of Nations(airlines).

Now that's a great picture of tail... Good Collection! --DtD

The vertical stabilizer of the 707 is so unique, that one can regognize it right away! I love this aircraft, and it makes me sad to realize, that each of these stabilizers stands for one scrapped bird...

Wow! From Pan Am, TWA, El AL, CAAC and many others I don't recognize. T.B.

My favourite aircafts has been throrn into pieces :(

This is by far the most intense photo of a graveyard. Simply devastating to those who loved the 707.

A visitor from United States posted Tue October 30, 2012:
They look like shark fins that have been cut off. Like sharks, the plane can't survive without it's vertical stabilizer.

A visitor from Canada posted Tue October 30, 2012:
Wow now those are some sweet tails.
Great collection of carriers.

Wow. So I'm guessing here from left to right...Pan Am, TWA, I don't know, I don't know, TWA, TWA, Boeing, Boeing, El Al, I don't know, and Tradewinds? If only these guys could tell their stories....

A visitor from United States posted Tue October 30, 2012:
Fantastic. I know it's sad to remember all those beautiful 707 workhorses, but what a wonderful tribute!

A visitor from United Kingdom posted Tue October 30, 2012:
