A magnificent picture from the days when getting airborne was still hard work... Airport security has changed a bit as well... look a that fence!

Thist is what I call a real aircraft. Twinjets are for wimps ;-)

This can't be a 'wet' takeoff, however; only the early turbojet 707-100 (without the 'B'-suffix) series had water injection. The 707-300's (again without the 'B'-suffix, which indicated JT3D low-bypass turbofans) like this one had the more powerful P&W JT4A engines, these didn't need water injection.
