It's great to see a vintage airliner, especially undergoing maintenance...looks like #3 engine was feathered for some (probably not good!) reason! | |
I always thought the standard Connie was better looking than the Super. Better curves I think. Regardless, Constellation was one of the most beautiful airliners ever. | |

Very interesting photo in light of its production history - it is only 3 s/n newer/later than N6902C, ship 4016, lost in the mid-air collision at Grand Canyon, AZ in 1956. I would guess they were identical in configuration. | |
