Remark Photographer
VH-TJP (cn 47418/570) Rare 1983 photo of TAA Douglas DC-9-31 VH-TJP - named 'Charles Kingsford Smith'- in updated livery at Canberra Airport. Photo taken before I flew in this aircraft from Canberra to Mascot (SYD). The Registration VH-TJP was later used on Qantas Boeing 737-476 (named Petrel). TAA was re-named 'Australian Airlines' in mid-1986, and Qantas purchased Australian Airlines and took over its (domestic) operations in 1992. (I also photographed this aircraft in Sydney in 1970, in original livery.)
