VH-TJP (cn 47418/570) Rare 1970 photo of TAA Douglas DC-9-31 VH-TJP in original livery - named 'Charles Kingsford Smith'- taxying in to TAA's Sydney (Domestic) Terminal. The new Sydney International Terminal was opened a few days later, on 03May1970 by Queen Elizabeth II. Photo taken the day I flew in this aircraft from Mascot (SYD) to Essendon (MEB) Victoria. The Registration VH-TJP was later used on Qantas Boeing 737-476 (named Petrel). Low res photo.
