VH-TVQ (cn 434) A rare 1968 view of TAA Vickers Viscount VH-TVQ (Named 'McDouall Stuart') on final approach to Melbourne's Essendon Airport . The engines are not leaving a thick smoke trail like the DC-9s and Boeing 727s did. Could this be the plane George flew in from Adelaide to Essendon in June 1968? My first flight in a TAA Viscount was from Canberra to Essendon in VH-TVQ on 24Apr1969. (Apologies for photo quality). Thanks to the TAA Museum (Essendon Victoria) for identifying the aircraft.
