Seen lining up runway 24L departing to BOS. First flight was April 14, 1962. Delivery date was April 30, 1962. Incident - December 4, 1965 - a mid-air collision over Carmel, NY with Eastern Air Lines Constellation N6218C routing BOS-EWR. TWA was routing SFO-JFK landing safely with 0 fatalities. N6218C crash landed near Hunt Mountain near Danbury, Conn with 4 fatalities - r.i.p. Was returned to service. Stored at DMA (Davis-Monthan) as N748TW, & was parted out for KC-135E parts.
