Very interesting photo, showing classic aircraft in classic liveries. Sadly TWA vanished from the skies and the L-1011 Tristar is becoming a rare sight at world airports.

Aaaah, nice, a breath of fresh smoke, that's what I need now. Thx for this nostalgic picture, I know it has been taken just 15 years ago, but much has changed as we can see on this 5 star shot!

Did United fly the 727 transatlantic? Impressive... they now use the slightly (uhum) more capable 777 to AMS.

United did not use the 727 for transatlantic flights. It was used for European flights connecting to their transatlantic network.
