United did not use the 727 for transatlantic flights. It was used for European flights connecting to their transatlantic network. | |
Did United fly the 727 transatlantic? Impressive... they now use the slightly (uhum) more capable 777 to AMS. | |

Very interesting photo, showing classic aircraft in classic liveries. Sadly TWA vanished from the skies and the L-1011 Tristar is becoming a rare sight at world airports. | |
