DC-6B's ... takes me back to my school days, flying back and forth between Australia and Papua New Guinea at holiday time, on Ansett ANA and TAA aircraft in the 60's. My days of spotting began then and I haven't looked back since. Great memories of those years of real flying.

I love this photo - the old classics! If only they could talk, oh the stories they could tell us of where they've been, and who has flown them and flown on them. Awesome photo Steve!

Interesting to note the American Flyers Airline 727 in the background, a regular transatlantic service - also Wardair (707 on the left) operated 727s transatlantic - presumably with at least one fuel stop - great picture, thanks.

Steve, one of the oldies but I worked on them with Transavia Holland. This aircraft has been used flying food during the Biafran war, for Joint Church Aid. (called Jesus Christ Airlines)

It's old-fashioned and a good close-up.

Thank you Steve. This takes me back to my days of standing on the piers at Gatwick spotting with real aeroplanes to see rather than plastic jets!!!
