Nice pic, going missed would mean a right turn close to some of that wx!
Excellent picture - great detail. The person who commented that Flap 40 landings are for overweight landings in the 737 is a bit misled. For one, you wouldn't land the 737 overweight unless it was an emergency. Flap 40 is typically used for shorter runways as it reduces the landing distance ( the airspeed is typically 7kts slower than Flap 30, not faster ) or when brake cooling is an issue. Also approaches in low visibility as the lower pitch attitude gives the pilot a better visual perspective. Flap 40 is also a typical flap setting for autolands on the NG. Hope that's of use.
Looks like "bejond"of Marrakech to me... Astonishing quality of the panel!
To the last comment; On normal landings the 737 uses flaps 30. Flaps 40 (maximum) is meant for overweight (and so faster speed) landings. Nice shot!
Nice one but seems like the flaps aren't at 45 on this short final! Anyway themselves know better what's goin on!
Lovely shot Jeff! You lucky guy :D
