 A visitor from Brazil posted Fri January 30, 2009:By the date of this photo, late 1978, these are the first tests of the "rainbow tail" paint scheme for TR. We can see the rainbow effect is still not complete, as maintenance team was trying to find which effect was better. So they found out that every main color stripe should have an additional thin stripe of itself over the next color stripe, and then the contrast would look better and fluid. By 1979 almost all planes in TR had the rainbow tail. | |
