RA-94001 (cn 01001) Unlucky Tupolev project is still alive and even very impressive. But just a few chances for its success. At MAKS 2005.

Not the best photo of the 1st prototype Tu-334 flying since 1999. Not in production because lacks a factory and about 60 Million USD funding to start production, mostly a problem of bureaucracy in the Russian Government not Tupolev DB. To all the Fokker and BAC enthusiasts, do some research into Tu-134, Yak-40, and Yak-42, the design has strong Russian/Soviet roots.

Especially when I consider the elegance and beauty of former Tupolews I must admit, I think the 334 features the ugliest T-tail I have ever seen.

A visitor from United Kingdom posted Fri August 8, 2008:
I hope the TU-334 project will take its chance for success! Really nice pic.

This photograph captures the power and lines of the aircraft perfectly. taken from the right place at the right time and at exactly the right angle of bank to show the aircraft to best advantage,

This photo is amazing as it (the angle of the pic.) makes it seem lik the jet is an approx. 10 feet away from the onlookers, and it is so close, as well! Really, I wasn't intending to look at the photos, but this one caught my eye more than any other.

It's amazing to read all the comments given to this picture.
Words like precision and awesome are among the most used. Well this is an airshow environment, as easily observed, the manouver flown is ridiculus and has nothing to do with operational flying. The aircraft is an american design of the late fifties and resembles the DC9-10 at its best, or the BAC1-11 as well, kind a late to come up with this now don't you think?
Picture is very good though, right place, right moment, right equipment.

A visitor from Canada posted Sat April 29, 2006:
I hope the airplane will reach production and be successful.

Good Low flying in commerical aircraft and russian pilots make it even better

A visitor from United Kingdom posted Fri March 24, 2006:
The aircraft seems to be just hanging there, but its not! Its a fantastic picture, its so close to the ground! Its got that brilliant feeling about it that makes you feel as if your there or even on it!

A visitor from Germany posted Fri March 10, 2006:
It is a great take off near the public and shows precision

Eye-capturing given the unusual attitude so close to the ground. Must have been spectacular to see it live.

What a great pilot and what a great aircraft builder, go tu-334 go

A visitor from United States posted Thu January 12, 2006:
You know, it seems like a fat airplane. The engines are huge!

A visitor from United States posted Tue January 10, 2006:
Very cool picture! However, the 334 is an awkward looking plane. On another note, you would think someone would at least wash the thing before putting it at an air show. Hello??

A visitor from United States posted Tue January 10, 2006:
Nice, I like how it shows how well the aircraft can be maneuvered, at such a close range to the ground

A visitor from Argentina posted Mon January 9, 2006:
Is good

A visitor from Norway posted Fri November 4, 2005:
Good picture and an amazing display. I wish it came to mass-production of this bird. I am a big admirer of Tupolev civil aircraft. For me the old Tu154M is definitely the most elegant-looking plane ever : )

A visitor from Russian Federation posted Wed September 28, 2005:
This new aircraft was presented even at MAKS 2001. But anyway really amazing ship.

A visitor from Russian Federation posted Mon September 26, 2005:
This photo is nice because it is very dynamical, paintfull and introduce us new Tupolev's aircraft (I didn't see it before). May be, 5 stars - too much, but picture is really good!
