A visitor from Mexico posted Sun August 19, 2007: This plane looks great!!!... I totally agree, this Tu 144 design is 10 times better than Concorde. It is sad that supersonic airliners are discontinued. Hopefully russians will re-start or increase the competition for big/supersonic airliners.

Actually the Russian designers had some blue prints of the Concorde, but they couldnt get the wing design correct so they went for the cannard solution which made the aircraft perform better in the end than the concorde. I think they both look superb! :-)
