When I was a kid I use to put a rectangular piece of black cardboard on the carpet or soil in order to use it as the runway for my toy airplanes. This pic reminds me those airports I made within a few seconds however, here the scale is a little bit different! (Ali Aminzadeh)

The British temperate climate keeps runways rather neat and tidy doesn't it?

A visitor from United States posted Tue December 23, 2008:
Why are they unloading on the runway?

The beautiful grass makes it seam as though the runway is in the middle of a great golf course!

Its all changed since I trained there and the only thing I saw flying there was a varsity - how time changes. love the wet look runway nicely lit.

I see a displaced threshold, I think using the maximum available pavement it should be able to use this runway (winds permitting).

Short runway? Yes. But not for the mighty C-17.

A visitor from Canada posted Mon December 22, 2008:
Wow, great perspective. That runway does not seem long enough to get out of there! (I know it is)

I only hope it won't try to take off on this short runway. Or it looks like short from this angle. Love this perspective!
