XM497 (cn 13237) This former BOAC G-AOVF was part of the British Airways Collection. With the rest of the collection having been disposed of, this "Whispering Giant" was lucky to escape the scrapman's axe. It has since been repainted to represent XM497 (Royal Air Force) and is seen here looking resplendent against the dark clouds in a moment of sunshine between the rainstorms.
