MP425 / G This Oxford was built by Standard Motor Car Co. Ltd. at Coventry and in March 1943 was assigned to No. 1536 Beam Approach Training Flight at Spitalgate, trained there newly qualified night fighter pilots in instrument landing practice. BATF Oxfords carried distinctive yellow triangles, like this aircraft at RAF Museum Hendon. In February 1945 was transferred to No. 18 (Pilots) Advanced Flying Unit at Church Lawford, in May 1945 moved to No. 7 SFTS, Westwood, Peterborough and later to No. 12 MU at Kirkbride. In 1975 was moved to Cardington for restoration and in October 1994 for display to Hendon.
