WR960 Taking centre stage, just about fitting inside the Air and Space Hall at the Museum of Science & Industry, Manchester. The Avro Shackleton was a development of the Lancaster and Lincoln series and was operated by the Royal Air Force in the maritime reconnaissance and airborne early warning roles. Powered by 4x 2,455hp Rolls-Royce Griffon 57A twelve cylinder Vee liquid cooled engines, each driving de Havilland six blade co-axial counter rotating props (Canon 350D + Sigma 10-20 EX DC HSM + Speedlight 430EX)

Reminds me of when i was a kid in the fifties.my dad flew in these at st mawgan and st eval with 42 sqn.i have his logbook-he often flew in wr951/952 which were obviously made just before this one.i must get back to england to have a look at this.
