XM496 (cn 13508) The Bristol Britannia XM496 Preservation Society`s Britannia shortly before completion of re-painting in its former RAF colours, seen tinged pink by the setting sun. Its delivery from Transair Cargo in Africa to Kemble on 14 October 1997 was the last ever flight of a Britannia. As part of the RAF Britannia fleet operated from Lyneham and then Brize Norton, this aircraft was a feature of the local airspace for about twenty years. (350D & Sigma 28-300)
