XZ285 (cn 8047) Of Bae (British Aerospace)/A&AEE (Aircraft & Armament Experimental Establishment). The Nimrod AEW programme was plagued with problems and eventually abandoned in favour of the Boeing Sentry. This particular aircraft was scrapped at RAF Abingdon.
