XP693 Seen here wearing 56 Squadron markings in the dying seconds on sunshine before a terrific storm. It was built as an F.3 and spent all of it's operational life conducting Tornado trials work with Bae Ltd and the Aircraft & Armament Experimental Establishment at Boscombe Down. It was sold to the Lightning Flying Club at Exeter in 1992 and was registered G-FSIX. It is currently owned by Classic Jets, Thunder City, Capetown, South Africa. |
