Remark Photographer
NF370 Restoration of the 'Stringbag' is progressing very well indeed (compare with previous pics of reg). The engine has now been installed and she's sitting on her own landing gear. Despite her antiquated appearance, the Swordfish outclassed the aircraft intended to replace her and served throughout WW2. The most successful Swordfish sortie was the attack on the Italian naval base at Taranto on 10-11 Nov 1940 when 21 Swordfish destroyed three battleships, a cruiser, two destroyers and other warships.
