Remark Photographer
WZ780 (cn 776) This very strange looking aircraft type was used as a trainer by the RAF from 1952 to the late 1980s. It was launched by a V shaped elastic rope pulled by teams of cadets. The Grasshopper was based on a simplified form of the pre-war German Schulgleiter SG-38 glider. Note that this really is an ex RAF Grasshopper, despite the museum sign saying it's a German Schulgleiter!
