WP209 Taken almost exactly 50 years ago at the 1955 Farnborough SBAC Air Show, this is a relatively early Vickers Valiant. Kodachrome transparency taken by my late father, David W. Baldock.

A visitor from Australia posted Tue January 17, 2006: Reminds me of my youth. I was a member of the RAAF ground crew on this aircraft when it was transferred to Australia for High Speed High Altitude Bombalistic Trials prior to the Maralinga Atomic Tests. If the TUGMASTER was shown, or if I could have recognised any of the Vickers Weybridge Engineers, I would have given it 5 Stars!
