WT121 / CU-415 (cn 7427) Built in Jan-1951 and operated by the US Navy at NAS Norfolk, shipped to Great Britain in Mar-1954. Operated at RNAS Hal Far in 1955, returned to RNAS Culdrose later that year. Shown at various air shows in the 1960s. In 1972 she was airlifted to RFA Engadine off the Cornish coast by Sea King helicopter, then airlifted by another Sea King here to the Reserve Collection of the Fleet Air Arm Museum at Cobham Hall. In storage away from the public eye for a very long time. |
