XT861 / V (cn 2383) Of POCU (Phantom Operational Conversion Unit) based at RAF Leuchars. Formed on 1.9.72 to provide training for pilots posted to 892 Naval Air Squadron, this unit was unique in that it trained RN pilots in RAF aircraft painted in RN colours. The unit was short lived and disbanded during 1978. This aircraft crashed into the North Sea on 7.9.87.
